There was an excited buzz in the air at the Eltham Community and Reception Centre last night as the crowd gathered to honour outstanding individuals and groups who have gone above and beyond to make Nillumbik a special, inclusive and connected place.
The 2025 Nillumbik Community Awards celebrate the contributions of local volunteers, leaders and change makers across a range of categories, recognising the people who enrich the life of our Shire.
Mayor John Dumaresq congratulated all award recipients and nominees, saying the awards reflect the depth of community spirit across Nillumbik.
“Each nominee has made a unique and lasting contribution and their actions embody what it means to care deeply about community,” Cr Dumaresq said.
“These awards are our opportunity to say thank you and to shine a light on the people whose passion and generosity defines Nillumbik.”
