Council holiday operating hours

Operating hours for Council facilities and services will change over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Check the list below for all the details.

Customer service desk at Civic Drive

The Customer Service desk at the Civic Centre will operate with reduced hours for parts of the holiday period.

• Closed from 12pm-5pm on Friday 12 December, and will reopen at 9am on Monday 15 December.
• Closed from Thursday 25 December to Friday 2 January inclusive.
• Reduced hours from Monday 5 January to Friday 23 January - open 9am-1pm daily.
• Closed Monday 26 January for the public holiday and will resume normal hours from Tuesday 27 January. 

Our Customer Service team are still available on the phone. You can call 9433 3111 between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Recycling Centre and Reuse Shop

Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 8am to 4pm.

• Closed Friday 26 December
• Closed Monday 26 January

Bin collections

• Thursday 25 December - bins will not be collected. Instead, bins will be collected the following day and one day later for the rest of the week, with Friday bins collected Saturday.
• Thursday 1 January - bins will not be collected. Instead, bins will be collected the following day and one day later for the rest of the week, with Friday bins collected Saturday.
• Monday 26 January - no changes to bin collections.

Edendale Community Environment Farm

• Closed Thursday 25 December to Thursday 1 January.
• Open every day from Friday 2 January from 10am to 4.30pm.
• Café Eden will be closed from Monday 22 December to Sunday 18 January, reopening on Monday 19 January.

Living & Learning Nillumbik

• Eltham and Diamond Creek: closed from 3pm on Friday 19 December, reopening at 9am on Tuesday 6 January.
• Panton Hill: closed from 3pm on Friday 19 December, reopening at 9am on Monday 19 January.

Hurstbridge Community Hub

Closed from Tuesday 23 December to 6 January inclusive. Reopening on Wednesday 7 January.

Staff will not be available by email or phone between Christmas and New Year, but outside that period we will be available to respond. 

Nillumbik Youth Hub

The Youth Hub will be closed from 24 December to 4 January inclusive.

Staff will be available throughout. Call 9433 3728 or email youth@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.

Eltham Community and Reception Centre

• Closed from 12pm on Wednesday 24 December, reopening at 9am on Tuesday 6 January.
• Closed Monday 26 January.
