Ready, set… play! Young, and maybe not so young Nillumbik residents have a fresh round of completed playground upgrades to explore this summer.
As part of Council’s ongoing playground renewals program, several local suburban playgrounds have been refreshed with new equipment designed to spark imagination, support active play and welcome children of all abilities.
From climbing and swinging to exploring and social play, there’s something new to discover at:
Nillumbik Mayor Cr Naomi Joiner said the works reflect Council’s commitment to keeping local play spaces fun, safe and inclusive.
“Local playgrounds are where friendships are made, children’s confidence grows and the community can connect,” Cr Joiner said. “This ongoing program ensures we can enjoy high-quality play areas close to home, while we continue to maintain our larger destination playgrounds.”
With more than 60 public playgrounds across the Shire, regular audits help guide renewals based on age, condition and community use, ensuring there’s always somewhere new to explore.
