Have your say on a draft site plan for Alan Marshall Reserve, Eltham

Community members are invited to provide feedback on the proposed site plan for Alan Marshall Reserve, Eltham, with community consultation open until Sunday 27 September.
The draft site plan has been shaped by what we heard during earlier community engagement. Community members told us they wanted more seating and picnic areas, improved playground facilities, toilets, an additional recreation space, and increased shade throughout the space.
In response, the proposed site plan includes:
- renewal of existing playground and playground expansion
- improved path network
- shelter for weather protection
- accessible seating and picnic tables
- additional trees and landscaping to improve shade
- toilets
- water play
Mayor Cr Naomi Joiner said community feedback had played an important role in developing the plan.
"We heard clearly from our community that they value spaces where people of all ages can play, exercise, connect with nature and spend time together. This draft site plan reflects those priorities and creates a more welcoming and accessible space for everyone."
Councillor Kate McKay noted that the site plan is currently a long-term concept.
“Community feedback will help shape Council’s upcoming investment in Alan Marshall Reserve, refine the plan and strengthen future funding opportunities and advocacy efforts. Delivery of some of these aspects will be dependent on securing additional funding. We encourage everyone to take a look at the plan and let us know what they think."
