Local innovators recognised in 2026 NBAA nominations

Council is proud to announce its 2026 nominees for the Northern Business Achievement Awards (NBAA): Imagine Re-Evolution, North East Garage Doors Victoria and our Young Business Achiever, Micah Edmonds founder of Complete Ag.

The NBAA is a regional awards program celebrating innovation, leadership and excellence across Melbourne’s north. Delivered in partnership between local government, industry and education organisations, the program recognises outstanding businesses making a positive impact in their communities.

Imagine Re-Evolution is a community-driven organisation empowering young people aged 12 to 25 across Melbourne’s northeast through education, sustainability and community programs. Its work fosters intergenerational connection and supports young people to reach their potential through inclusive, purpose-led initiatives and strong community partnerships.

North East Garage Doors Victoria is a family-owned business providing garage door repairs, installations and servicing across Melbourne’s northeast. The business has built a strong reputation for honest advice, quality workmanship and customer service, supported by efficient operations and a growing local team.

Complete Ag provide affordable agricultural services and take pride in all their work and provide excellent and quality services.

Nillumbik Mayor Cr Naomi Joiner said these businesses reflect the strength, innovation and diversity of Nillumbik’s local business sector.

“These businesses showcase the passion and drive that it takes to succeed in small business,” Cr Joiner said.

Each year, participating councils nominate standout emerging businesses and a Young Business Achiever to take part in quarterly networking breakfasts and a regional awards program celebrating excellence across sustainability, innovation, customer service, workplace diversity, manufacturing and community impact.

Winners will be announced at the NBAA Grand Finale Gala in December.
