Yarra Plenty Regional Library Announces New CEO

The Yarra Plenty Regional Library Board is pleased to announce the appointment of the Library’s new Chief Executive Officer, Ms Nicole Rudden.

Ms Rudden is an executive leader with over 25 years’ experience shaping high-impact organisations across government, not-for-profit, and private sectors, including senior positions at YMCA Victoria and the City of Greater Dandenong.

Announcing Ms Rudden’s appointment, Chair of the Yarra Plenty Regional Library Board, Cr Grant Brooker said he was delighted to have Ms Rudden lead the dynamic library corporation.

“Ms Rudden’s leadership is people and community focused. These are the qualities that underpin Yarra Plenty Regional Library’s purpose to provide accessible, future-focussed library services that connect people with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to grow, adapt, and participate fully in community life. The Board is delighted to welcome Ms Rudden to Yarra Plenty Regional Library and has supreme confidence that she will add value to this much used, loved, and respected organisation.”      

Ms Rudden said she is delighted to join Yarra Plenty Regional Library.

“Yarra Plenty Regional Library has a reputation for excellence in providing essential tools for learning, social connection, leisure, and opportunity. It will be a privilege to lead the Library team as we work to deliver the best library service possible for the communities of the growing northeastern suburbs.”

Cr Brooker expressed his gratitude to former CEO, Ms Jane Cowell, and Interim CEO, Clem Gillings.

“Ms Cowell led Yarra Plenty Regional Library through extraordinary times and left it a stronger and better organisation. I thank her for what she achieved in her impressive tenure and also thank Ms Gillings for her important work as Interim CEO.”

Ms Nicole Rudden will take up the position of CEO on November 25.
