    Background

Reconstruction of the Bridge Street sports ground in Eltham will transform the existing rugby field into a higher performing, more resilient sports surface capable of supporting increased training and match usage.

The Bridge Street Sports ground is currently a low-grade ground, with no established drainage structure and is therefore reliant on surface run-off. Through the winter months the ground becomes water-logged and is regularly closed and usable during the winter season impacting sporting activities.
