Background

The Diamond Creek Outdoor Pool is much loved by the community. With some components reaching the end of their useful life, upgrades were required to meet current user expectations and ensure the facility is used for years to come.

Council received $1.5 million in Australian Government funding via the Investing in Our Communities Program for improvements to enhance the overall user experience and functionality of this vital community asset.

  • Swimming club room improvements
  • New plant equipment
  • Upgraded walkways to ensure accessible paths to all areas
  • New plant equipment energy efficient heat pumps
  • Upgrade to chemical delivery systems

Australian Government: $1.5m via the Investing in Our Communities program.

What next?

With the facility upgrade works now complete, the focus will shift to upgrading the pool plant. This will include constructing a compliant chemical delivery bund and replacing the existing gas boiler with electric heat pumps to improve energy efficiency and support the new electrification and efficiency standards and regulations for Victorian buildings.
