Background

The existing drainage and irrigation infrastructure at Susan Street Oval is ageing and requires upgrading to improve the condition and performance of the playing surface.

The project will address existing drainage and irrigation limitations and improve sub-surface drainage across the oval.

These improvements will help provide a more reliable, durable and higher-performing playing surface for local sporting clubs and the broader community.

Works will include

Installation of a new automatic irrigation system, including associated infrastructure.
Installation of new sub-surface drainage, drainage pits and connections to existing infrastructure.
Sand slitting and installation of sand and gravel to improve drainage and playing surface performance.
Preparation of the playing surface and installation of new turf.
Reinstatement of affected areas, including goal posts, landscaping and final establishment works.
