Bushfire and Community Safety Expo

The Bushfire and Community Safety Expo is a free, family-friendly event designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, stay informed and build safer, more resilient communities.

Hosted by Nillumbik Shire Council, the Expo brings together emergency services, government agencies, community organisations and local businesses to provide practical advice, resources and support on a range of community safety topics

With expert presentations, interactive displays and engaging activities, the event will give residents and visitors the chance to:

  • access practical information on emergency preparedness and community safety
  • connect directly with emergency services and local organisations
  • discover tools, resources and services that support safer communities
  • learn about local risks including bushfires, severe weather, road safety and other community safety issues
  • build resilience through knowledge, preparedness and community connections.

Building on the success of previous Bushfire Expos, this expanded event reflects a broader focus on keeping our community safe, informed and prepared for a range of emergencies and hazards.

Expression of interest open on Tuesday 18 August 2026 and will close on Sunday 6 September 2026.
