Crafted Connections - A neuroaffirming collaborative wall art workshop
Next date: Wednesday, 25 November 2026 | 11:00 AM
to 01:30 PM
Join us for Crafted Connections, a hands-on workshop marking International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), designed for Autistic and ADHD adults.
Come along and create a piece reflecting your special interest - using acrylic paint markers, stickers, glitter, decorations and more - which will join everyone else's to form one shared wall artwork.
No craft experience needed.
This session is designed to be accessible and inclusive, with a range of materials to suit different sensory preferences, a quiet space available if you need a break, and no pressure to talk or explain your work if you'd rather not.
Support people are welcome to come along and support their person throughout the session.
There is no cost for participants, thanks to funding from Nillumbik Shire Council as part of the IDPwD grant.
The finished wall artwork will go on public display from IDPwD (3 December 2026) through to February 2027.
Facilitated by: Anthea Jane (Takiwātanga Creative) and Alison Molloy (Neurodivergent Village)
Auspiced by: Nillumbik Initiative for Community Engagement (NICE)
Funded by: International Day of People with Disability Grant from Nillumbik Shire Council.
We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring and empowering experience!
