Next date: Saturday, 11 April 2026 | 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Food Swap & Share is a welcoming community gathering facilitated by SHIFT (Sustainable Hurstbridge Ideas for Transition), bringing people together in the Community Garden every 2nd and 4th Saturday to exchange home‑grown produce, seeds, recipes, and ideas.
This relaxed, sustainability‑focused group encourages neighbours to share what they grow, reduce waste, and enjoy the benefits of community‑powered food practices.
SHIFT manages a range of ongoing community sharing initiatives that strengthen local connections and make sustainable living more accessible. In partnership with the Edible Hub, SHIFT supports projects such as the community garden, the food swap, the repair café, the Food is Free table, and the seed library—creating a vibrant network of resources that help residents learn, share, and thrive together.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a curious beginner, or simply someone who enjoys community spirit, the Food Swap & Share group offers a friendly space to connect with others and celebrate local food in all its forms.
