About the Lost Skills sessions
REthink Nillumbik is hosting a series of free workshops at the Nillumbik Repair Cafe. At these sessions, you can learn fantastic new skills to use at home, and also help Nillumbik reduce its waste and transition to a circular economy. A circular economy is one that repairs, reuses and repurposes objects rather than throwing them away.
November Lost Skills: Care for hand tools
Join our workshop and learn essential techniques to keep your hand tools in peak condition for years to come. The session will cover how to properly clean, service, store and maintain common hand tools such as shears, saws, pliers, chisels, screwdrivers, spanners, hammers and more. You can even bring some tools from home and get specific advice on how best to care for them.
Bookings are essential so we know how many people to cater for.
Who it's for
All Lost Skills sessions are free to attend and open to everyone in Nillumbik. This session is great for anyone wanting to learn a handy new skill, save money by doing their own DIY, or support a circular economy by giving objects a new lease on life.
