Nillumbik Shire Council's Ageing Well team is hosting this community forum in recognition of Dying To Know Day.

Dying To Know Day encourages all Australians to develop knowledge and attitudes about how to deal with death, dying and bereavement, and support each other at the end of life.

Hear from experts in the field of death and dying, end-of-life care and choices.

Our panel includes:

  • Northern Health's Ella Critchley on Advance Care Planning and Intensivist representing Donate Life and organ donation, and giving an ICU perspective
  • Banksia Palliative Care
  • Dr Nick Carr, Dying with Dignity, Voluntary Assisted Dying
  • Catherine Ashton, Author/Podcaster "Don't Be Caught Dead"
  • Le Pine Funerals Eltham, explaining pre-paid funerals
  • Council's Aged Care Navigation and Advocacy Officer on support-at-home end-of-life pathway

Join us as an active participant or sit and listen to other members of the group, to broaden your knowledge and spark your curiosity with death as a part of our (infinite) life.

We encourage questions for our panel of experts in this respectful event to help you to gain different perspectives and build on your knowledge to develop your understanding on death and dying.

Registration is essential through Humanitix or by contacting the Ageing Well team. Supper is provided.
