Preparing your property for bushfires - with the CFA

The bushfire season is almost upon us again.

Victoria’s fire seasons are becoming increasingly challenging and it’s more important than ever for residents and property owners to understand their local fire risk and take steps to prepare.

Nillumbik University of the Third Age (U3A) welcomes older residents, including U3A members and non-members, to hear from the CFA about how to plan, and prepare your property, for bushfire.

Get Fire Ready encourages Victorians to take simple, practical steps before the fire season begins.

Join Perri Lalor, Community Engagement Coordinator at the CFA, along with local brigade members, who will be discussing how to plan, and prepare your property, for bushfire.

This will include understanding your risk, clearing fine fuels, cutting grass short, and maintaining the area around your home.
