Seniors Festival Memory Care Cafe Open Day

Join us for a welcoming and inclusive afternoon showcasing dementia-friendly community activities and support services.

Experience a range of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy-inspired activities, including board games, crafts, conversation and other enjoyable social experiences designed to support wellbeing and connection for people living with dementia.

Activities are facilitated by a qualified support worker, with participants encouraged to join in as much or as little as they feel comfortable.

Whether you prefer to actively participate or simply observe, everyone is welcome.

Friendly volunteers will be on hand to assist with activities, facilitate conversation and help serve a delicious afternoon tea.

Carers are invited to relax in a separate area where they can connect with others who share similar experiences. Volunteers can help facilitate introductions and conversation, while Council's Ageing Well Team will be available to provide information and advice about local services, community supports, government programs and other helpful resources.

For safety and security reasons, people living with dementia attending the event must be accompanied by their carer. Come along to enjoy an afternoon of connection, creativity, information and support in a friendly and inclusive environment.
