Come to our open day to learn about our club!
Whether you are completely new to sailing or looking to build on existing skills, Sugarloaf Sailing Club offers a welcoming and supportive environment for sailors of all ages and abilities.
Many of our members started with little or no sailing experience and quickly discovered the enjoyment, challenge, and freedom that sailing provides.
Our comprehensive sail training program is available free of charge to members and is designed to support beginners through to experienced sailors.
Experienced instructors provide guidance tailored to individual skill levels, helping participants progress at their own pace.
Whether your goal is to race, improve your confidence on the water, or simply enjoy recreational sailing, our training program can help you achieve it.
Sailing for all
Sugarloaf Sailing Club is committed to making sailing accessible to everyone. During the summer season, the club conducts a Sailability program, providing opportunities for children, older adults, and people living with disabilities to experience the joy of sailing.
The club operates Access Dinghies, specially designed boats that are stable, safe, unsinkable, and virtually uncapsizable.
These boats enable participants to enjoy sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment while experiencing the excitement and independence of being on the water.
Don't have a boat? No problem!
Owning a boat is not necessary to get started.
Sugarloaf Sailing Club maintains a fleet of club boats that are available free of charge for member training and recreational use.
