Sustainable wrapping - Furoshiki and fabric creations
Next date: Thursday, 26 November 2026 | 06:30 PM
to 08:00 PM
Join us for a hands-on workshop that’s all about creativity with a purpose - reducing waste during the festive season.
Discover how to create beautiful, zero-waste gift wrapping and Christmas bonbons, then learn the elegant art of Furoshiki - traditional Japanese fabric wrapping that uses no tape or paper, just pure style.
You'll also explore Shibori indigo dyeing and simple block printing techniques to create your own unique, sustainable fabric wraps.
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to cut down on waste while still giving thoughtfully wrapped, beautiful gifts.
Walk away with handmade creations, new skills, and practical ways to reduce your environmental impact.
If you have any pale cotton fabric to reuse, please bring it along.
This is event is brought to you by Nillumbik Shire Council and will be facilitated by Annie Valentine from The Workshop Buffet.
Bookings will open shortly - check back soon for the booking link!
