Understanding Residential Aged Care

Join us for a free information session and expo to learn about Residential Aged Care fees, accommodation costs and connect with local aged care providers.

Presentations will include:

Nillumbik Shire Council's Aged Care Navigation and Advocacy Officer providing an overview of the My Aged Care system, including eligibility, the assessment process, and how to engage with a provider
Services Australia Financial Information Service (FIS) presenting information on pension payments, income and assets assessment and contributions for residential aged care
Local residential aged care providers showcasing their services and available to discuss care options and individual support needs

This is a great opportunity for older people, carers, family members and supporters to gain practical information and ask questions about accessing aged care services in their home.

Light refreshments will be provided.
