Going for Broke: Let's talk gambling harm

Next date: Tuesday, 27 October 2026 | 06:30 PM to 08:00 PM

Are you concerned about gambling harm in your community or club?

Gambling is more accessible than ever, especially through our phones. Last year, Nillumbik lost over $23 million on all forms of gambling.

Join us for a community screening and discussion based on Shaun Micallef's Going for Broke, the ABC documentary series exploring the impact of gambling harm in Australia.

At this welcoming session, we will:

hear from people with lived experience of gambling harm, and accessing Gambler's Help support services
share what support is available for community members
explore what can be done to create a healthier, more resilient community.

Light refreshments provided.

Need support?

If gambling harm is affecting you or someone you know, free and confidential support is available 24/7 through Gamblers Help on 1800 858 858.

This event is in partnership with Yarra Plenty Regional Library and Holstep Health.
