'Welcome to the Game' launches Wednesday 29 April at Eltham Leisure Centre, delivered in partnership with Welcoming Australia.

This fully funded national program has been running successfully for over seven years and is designed for children and young people aged 5 to 25 from migrant backgrounds who are living with a disability or additional needs.

Using sport and recreation as a pathway, the program helps build confidence, support health and wellbeing, and create a stronger sense of connection within the community. It’s also designed to make it easier for families to access and feel comfortable in local facilities.

If you’re joining us, this may be your first time visiting a centre like Eltham Leisure Centre, and that’s completely okay. 'Welcome to the Game' focuses on creating a positive and supportive first experience, helping you feel comfortable in the space, understand how things work, and build confidence getting involved in physical activity.

Sessions run every Wednesday from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, with participants and one accompanying adult receiving free entry as part of the program.
