Cooinda Reserve is located on the corner of Grove St and Frant St Eltham. The park contains a much-loved playground and is a key gathering place for families of the nearby Eltham East Primary School.
Updated in 2024, the playground is a nature-inspired play space incorporating logs and rocks to encourage informal play, with a particular emphasis on elements that promote balance. The infamous bee rocker has been maintained along with upgraded monkey bars and slide to improve the standard of the playground.
Dogs are generally allowed on the grassed areas while on leash, but are not permitted within five metres of the playground or a shared path.
