Eltham High School Sporting Precinct

The Eltham High School Sporting Precinct is a shared-use sporting facility, developed through a partnership between Eltham High School, Nillumbik Shire Council, and the Victorian Government.

The precinct provides high-quality sporting infrastructure for students, local sporting clubs and the wider community.

Precinct facilities

Managed by Council, the sporting precinct includes:

A full-sized natural turf sports oval suitable for AFL and cricket.
Sports field lighting to support evening training and competition.
Six tennis courts and four netball courts.
Cricket practice facilities and training areas.
Parking and access infrastructure to support community use.
A modern sports pavilion incorporating:
- Unisex team and umpire change facilities
- Canteen
- Equipment storage
- Covered spectator areas.

Sports oval

The oval is managed by Council and primarily functions as a casual-use and overflow facility. It is often used to accommodate:

Sports clubs displaced from their regular grounds due to maintenance or capital works
Overflow demand from local sporting clubs
Special sporting events and community programs
School and educational sporting activities

Community groups, sporting clubs and organisations can apply to use Eltham High School Oval through Council's booking process. Allocation prioritises competition matches, displaced clubs and community participation outcomes.

Tennis courts

The precinct features six Flexi-pave tennis courts for school and community use which can also be utilised as four netball courts. Court lighting is also available to extend usage into the evening.

Community groups, sporting clubs and organisations can apply to use Eltham High School Tennis Courts through Aligned Leisure and the Eltham Leisure Centre.
