Plenty War Memorial Park is a well-used community reserve in Plenty that supports local sport, recreation, play and remembrance.
The park includes active recreation facilities, open space, visitor amenities and memorial gates that recognise the service of local community members.
Located at the corner of Yan Yean Road and Memorial Drive, the park is home to a sports oval and playground, Plenty Tennis Club and Greensborough Hockey Club, making it a popular destination for families, sporting clubs and visitors.
The reserve supports a range of sporting and recreational activities, including the home facilities of Plenty Cricket Club, Diamond Creek Women's Football Club, Plenty Tennis Club and Greensborough Hockey Club. The lower area is also host to training grounds for the Plenty Fire Brigade.
The park’s memorial gates are an important local heritage feature and form part of Plenty’s civic and community history. Erected in memory of those who served in the First and Second World Wars, the gates continue to provide a visible place of remembrance within the reserve.
