Research Park
Research Park is a community sport and recreation reserve located on Main Road, Research. The park is a valued local open space, offering opportunities for organised sport, recreation, community gatherings and passive enjoyment.
The sports oval and pavilion are home to Eltham Collegians Cricket Club, which uses the reserve for cricket training, matches and club activities during the summer season, and Research Junior Football Club, which supports junior Australian Rules football training, games and community club activities during the winter season.
Research Tennis Club is also based at the reserve, with clubrooms and six artificial grass courts. Established in 1974, the club has grown to more than 250 members and welcomes players of all ages and abilities, from beginners to champions.
The Scout hall is home to the 1st Research Scout Group, which offers adventurous programs that help young people build practical life skills, confidence, resilience and leadership.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted off leash on the oval when not in use by schools or sporting clubs. Refer to on-site signage.
Dogs must be on leash in the area surrounding the oval.
