Anzac Memorial Park is a centrally located memorial and community park in the heart of Hurstbridge. Established in 1991, the park honours Australian service personnel from all conflicts and provides a focal point for ANZAC Day and other remembrance ceremonies.

Despite its modest size, Anzac Memorial Park has been intentionally designed to balance reflection, learning and play. The playground features a unique military‑themed playground that blends imaginative play with education. Its central location near shops, cafés and public transport makes it a welcoming place for reflection, play and everyday community life.

Memorial space

The Anzac Memorial Park was dedicated in 1991 as a remembrance place for all wars. The Memorial Park on Anzac Avenue includes a memorial wall that is used for ANZAC Day Services.

A Lone Pine tree stands in place to mark the memory of our Gallipoli soldiers. The Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis) was propagated from seeds collected from the Lone Pine Tree planted in the grounds of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, by HRH Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, on 24 October 1934.

The Hurstbridge Avenue of Honour is a historic memorial located on Anzac Avenue in Hurstbridge, Victoria, Australia. It was established in August 1918 to commemorate local soldiers from the district who served in the First World War (1914–1918).

The playground

The playground includes structures that encourage role‑play and physical activity, such as army‑inspired equipment, climbing and balance challenges, interactive panels and problem‑solving elements.

Despite being a smaller playground, it packs a punch with options to role play being a medic in the medical tent, driving an army tank, taking on a challenge on the ropes course or doing mind games with a word search or maze.

The park also benefits from established trees and surrounding greenery, contributing to its quiet, reflective atmosphere while still being highly accessible to families.
