Visual and civic art

The visual art collection includes two and three-dimensional contemporary and modernist artworks of excellence of traditional and non-traditional mediums by emerging, mid-career and established artists.

Civic collection

The civic collection includes objects of significance, including memorials and monuments specifically created as artworks, that relate to the social and cultural history of Nillumbik.

Nillumbik Shire Council recently received a grant to produce new display plinths and AV equipment to better create opportunities to view artworks from the collection throughout the Shire. This grant was supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. The Regional Collections Access Program is delivered in partnership with AMAGA Victoria, PGAV, NGV and Regional Arts Victoria.

Support the collection

Nillumbik Shire Council has deductible gift recipient (DGR) status. This means we have been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to receive tax deductible gifts. The ATO website has more information on deductions for gifts and donations.
