Ben Frilay Oval is the primary sports ground in Hurstbridge, located on Graysharps Road. It is used for community sport and sits within the wider Hurstbridge Memorial Park precinct near Diamond Creek.
Ben Frilay Oval forms part of the former Hurstbridge Memorial Park area, which is recognised for its local historic, aesthetic and social value. The reserve has a long standing role in community recreation and organised sport in Hurstbridge.
The reserve is within the Hurstbridge township and is close to the Hurstbridge Hub, which sits on the site of the former Hurstbridge High School and is home to the Hurstbridge Football Netball Club and the Hurstbridge Cricket Club.
Dogs must be on a leash within five metres of shared paths.
Dogs are only permitted off leash in some areas, and must be under effective control, which means your dog needs to stay within constant sight, and respond when you call.
Dogs are not permitted on Ben Frilay Oval, Hurstbridge East Oval and Gordon and Sheila Ferguson Paddock Playground. Refer to the map.
