Get ready! We are popping up in community spaces near you to help you prepare for a range of emergencies.

Each pop-up offers practical tips, resources, and conversations tailored to local needs.

Preparing for the heat

Heat health and heat proofing homes.

At the next community preparedness pop-up, you can learn how to prepare for the heat. Join Nillumbik’s Dementia Friendly Alliance and hear from Ambulance Victoria on key topics such as recognising heat-related illnesses, snake bite management, taking care around water, and protecting vulnerable people.

REthink Nillumbik will explain the best ways to keep your home cooler, more comfortable and safer during hot weather while helping you save on energy bills. You’ll learn practical tips on how to stop heat from entering your home, cool down the house efficiently, and make the most of your house design. The session will cover a range of options to suit different homes, appliances, and budgets.

Afternoon tea will be provided. There is no cost for this event.
